SWF machine

Salt-Water-Freeze-Thaw Test machine

for the tests according to EN 13867-1 "Determination of thermal compatibility - Part 1: Freeze-thaw cycling with de-icing slat immersion" and simmilar.

SWF Machine

The change between the freeze-thaw cycles takes place automatically. Thus the test in aqueous solutions can be carried out automatically, whciht previously could only be done manually.

The samples can be stored in a test room with a dimensions of approx. 85 cm x 200 cm x 50 cm. The SWF machine allows to storage the samples alternately in saturated soline solution at -15 °C and in water with the temperature in the range of +5 °C to +60 °C. The change of liquids takes place automatically as well. The sample no longer have to be transported by hand.

SWF machine schema

The water and the soline solutuion are stored at a pre-set temperature in thermally insulated storage containers.

All components of the machine that come into contact with the soline solution are equipped with the appropriate salt-resistant materials to ensure the longevity of the appliance. The test room is made of plastic. The built-in valves are made of high-quality stainless steel or some are made of titanum.

The machine is equipped with two refrigeration systems. With the exception of an annual inspection, the SWF machine is largely maintenance-free. The annual leak test can be carried out by any certified professional.

The SWF machine is fulli netoworkable and is controlled with a computer using a web browser. The user interface is a web page in a web browser, whcih also allows a graphical representation of the measured values.
